Jizhou Kiln, a world-renowned porcelain kiln located in the Jiangnan region, originated during the late Tang Dynasty, flourished during the Song Dynasty, and declined during the late Yuan Dynasty, has a history that spans more than a thousand years. In 2015, a black tea bowl produced by the Jizhou Kiln during the Song Dynasty set a record of 1.24 million Hong Kong dollars (approximately 1 million RMB) at an auction held by Christie's in Hong Kong.
We are honored to invite Professor Liu Xiaoyu, a representative inheritor of the national intangible cultural heritage project - Jizhou Kiln ceramic firing techniques, to give a professional lecture for cultural relics and porcelain enthusiasts in Hong Kong, allowing us to experience the thousand-year-old kiln fire that has been passed down from the Tang and Song Dynasties.
