Li Yongzheng was born in Bazhong, Sichuan, and currently lives and works in Chengdu. He graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Southwest China Normal University in 1994, afterwards he further studied sociology at Sichuan University. Li Yongzheng often applies a variety of mediums and forms to his art creations. The types of creations include installation art, video documentation, performance art, oil painting, etc. Starting from the bottom class experience in China, he always maintains attention to topics related to humanity. His approach is subtle and poetic.
Li Yongzheng's works have been widely shown in exhibitions in many important art museums and academic institutions. "Feast" by Li Yongzheng has won numerous international awards, including the ADAA Asia Digital Art Award in Fukuoka, Japan, and the Experimental Video Honor Award at the Fargo Film Festival in the United States.
